Lacey Chu joined St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University in Fall 2020 after working as an assistant professor at Buena Vista University in Iowa. Her primary research interests are in the fields of health economics and industrial organization, with a particular focus on health, aging, caregiving, gender, and financial literacy. Current research projects include mental health consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and Long COVID, impacts of informal care on caregivers and recipients, and gender disparities in health and well-being. Her work has been published in journals such as Social Science and Medicine, Journal of Aging and Health, Journal of Women and Aging, and Journal of Mental Health Policy and Economics. Lacey is a current director and past-president of the Minnesota Economics Association.  She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from Texas Tech University in 2017.
