Environmental and Sustainability Studies

Our Environmental and Sustainability Studies program explores the dynamic relationship between humans and the environment. Emphasizing environmental justice and sustainability, the program draws from several academic disciplines to train ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s to promote equitable solutions for a future where people and nature thrive together.

With a foundation in the environment, sustainability, data science, economics, ethics, and leadership, you’ll develop the interdisciplinary skills and perspectives needed to understand not just environmental and sustainability issues but their links to global health, the economy, and ecology. You’ll learn to address current and future environmental challenges as well as the ethical and social justice dimensions of sustainability.

Produce Impactful, Sustainable Outcomes Driven by Data
Our program offers an opportunity to apply quantitative and qualitative methods to produce data-driven recommendations and outcomes. Analyzing social issues and sustainability challenges to develop innovative and tangible solutions is an essential skill set employers are looking for to address the environmental concerns in today’s changing world. Organizations increasingly seek individuals with interdisciplinary training who can navigate the complex intersections of environmental challenges, economic considerations, and social justice.

You will graduate ready to lead and influence environmental and sustainability initiatives, seamlessly integrating sustainable principles into organizational strategies across a wide range of sectors, including government, nonprofits, corporations, and beyond.
